On Friday, July 18, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at our store, Wilson’s Mills Variety Store. This involved local police, SBI agents, and state departments. During the operation, our loyal cashier and manager Ethan Mitchell was arrested and is now facing serious charges.

Ethan has been a cornerstone of our team — serving customers with integrity, kindness, and dedication. In response, we’ve launched the “Free Ethan” Project to tell his story and stand behind him through a powerful new documentary series posted right here on our website.
